Sabercats Response to COVID-19
We share your concerns regarding the COVID 19 virus and want to assure you that as the Sabercats Ice Hockey Club in partnership with Yerba Buena Ice Center – are taking extra precautions in an attempt to maintain a clean and sanitary environment. Aside from any measures NorCal may enforce, the following steps are being taken at Yerba Buena:
- Monitoring information from the CDC as well as federal, state and local agencies to ensure the measures we are taking are in line with the latest CDC guidelines and recommendations.
- Doubled the cleaning and sanitizing effort of common places throughout the day.
- Hand sanitizer is available throughout the rink for use by staff as well as all patrons.
- Limiting events with spectators
What we can all do:
- As a standard practice, ANY potential visitors to the rink who is feeling ill, regardless of their symptoms, should refrain from visiting public spaces
- and attending public events.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash and clean your hands.
